Audison bit Ten Digital Signal Processor — 5-Channel DSP for OEM and Aftermarket Systems
The Audison bit Ten is a compact multi-function digital signal processor with analog inputs, built to turn an ordinary OEM or aftermarket system into a tuned, high-performance one. It uses a 32-bit, 147 MHz DSP with 24-bit A/D and D/A converters, and it is tuned with software that works around the acoustics of your vehicle. Built-in USS technology lets it work with head units that mute their output when they detect no speaker load.
Key Features
- 32-bit, 147 MHz DSP with 24-bit A/D and D/A converters, processing at 24-bit/48 kHz fixed point
- 4 input channels and 5 output channels
- A crossover on every output channel, with equalizer and time-delay settings per channel
- Automatic de-equalization of the high-level input signal (with the supplied test CD, if needed)
- Reconstructs a full-bandwidth stereo signal from filtered OEM outputs and, if needed, centre and subwoofer channels
- USS technology for head units with "speaker load detection," and bit Tune auto-tuning
Power and Technical Highlights
Signal-stage bandwidth is 10 Hz – 22 kHz (-3 dB), with 85 dB channel separation at 1 kHz and 0.005% distortion. Input impedance is 15 kΩ on the Pre-In and 2.2 kΩ on the Speaker-In, and the signal-to-noise ratio is about 95–96 dBA. It runs on 11–15 VDC and connects to a PC over USB. The bit Ten has no digital inputs or outputs.
Ideal For / System Fit
- OEM systems where the factory head unit is staying
- Upgrades that add crossovers, EQ and time alignment to an existing amplifier and speaker setup
- Installs where the head unit mutes its output without a speaker load
Not suited to Hi-Res or digital-source systems: it has no digital inputs and works at 24-bit/48 kHz.
Installation Note
The bit Ten is compact and can be hidden under a seat or behind a panel. Set-up and tuning are done on a Windows PC over USB with the bit Ten software, and professional installation is recommended.
What's Included
1 x Audison bit Ten digital signal processor (the test CD for de-equalization is referenced in the product material; confirm the supplied accessories with your supplier)
Precautions
- Professional installation and tuning are strongly recommended
- Analog inputs only; it cannot accept digital sources directly
- Use the correct input (Pre-In or Speaker-In) for the source signal level
- Check the supply is within 11–15 VDC with proper fusing

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Audison bit Ten used for?
It processes and tunes the audio signal of an OEM or aftermarket system, with crossovers, EQ and time delay.
How many channels does it have?
4 input channels and 5 output channels.
Does it have digital inputs?
No. It has analog inputs only (Pre-In and Speaker-In).
What is USS technology?
It lets the processor work with head units that mute their output when no speaker load is detected.
Can it de-equalize a factory system?
Yes. It can automatically de-equalize the high-level input signal, using the supplied test CD if necessary.
How do I tune it?
Through the bit Ten software on a PC, connected over USB.
Can I use it with a factory head unit?
Yes. It is designed to integrate with OEM head units and can rebuild a full-bandwidth stereo signal.
Is it a Hi-Res processor?
No. It works at 24-bit/48 kHz; for Hi-Res and digital inputs, look at the bit One HD Virtuoso.
