Audison Forza AF M1D Mono Companion Amplifier — 600W @ 4Ω, 1000W @ 2Ω, 1200W @ 1Ω with Built-In Sub Controls
The Audison Forza AF M1D is a compact mono Class D amplifier delivering 600W @ 4Ω, 1000W @ 2Ω and 1200W @ 1Ω RMS (14.4 VDC, 1% THD). It can sit behind a Forza bit amplifier or processor as a companion, and it is the only amplifier in the Forza D range that also works stand-alone, thanks to a set of manual controls. That makes it a flexible subwoofer amplifier for both fully tuned DSP systems and simple add-a-sub upgrades.
Key Features
- Mono output: 600W @ 4Ω / 1000W @ 2Ω / 1200W @ 1Ω
- Rated to a 1Ω minimum load for flexible subwoofer wiring
- Adjustable (and defeatable) 4th-order low-pass crossover filter
- 0–180° polarity/phase switch and a 45 Hz bass boost adjustment
- Latest-generation Audison D-Class (ADT) technology with 81% efficiency at rated power
- Works behind Forza bit amplifiers and standalone bit processors, or on its own for add-a-sub installs
Power and Technical Highlights
Automatic remote turn-on from high-level inputs and speaker-input loading (USS) let the amplifier connect to factory systems without a separate remote lead. An optional VCR-S2 level knob provides a dash-mounted subwoofer volume control. Bandwidth is 10 Hz – 500 Hz (-3 dB), damping factor is 140 and supply is 11–15 VDC with 2 x 35A fuses, with a maximum current draw of around 65 A. It has no DSP.
Ideal For / System Fit
- Add-a-sub installs, including in systems without an Audison bit amplifier
- Companion subwoofer power behind a Forza bit DSP amplifier or bit One HD Virtuoso
- Compact installs that still need 1000W-class bass output
Not designed for midrange or tweeter duty: it is a subwoofer amplifier with a 500 Hz bandwidth and no DSP.
Installation Note
Authorized-dealer listings show a supplied kit with 2-channel speaker-out, Pre-In and speaker-in cables, a remote in/out lead, the Forza install kit and an owner's manual. Use correct fusing and heavy-gauge power wiring for the current draw above.
What's Included
1 x Audison Forza AF M1D mono amplifier with supplied installation cables and owner's manual
Precautions
- Power ratings are measured at 14.4 VDC, 1% THD; real output depends on the vehicle's electrical system
- Match the subwoofer's impedance to the rated loads (4Ω, 2Ω or 1Ω); do not go below 1Ω
- Professional installation with proper fusing, grounding and wiring is strongly recommended
- Set gain and bass boost carefully to avoid driving the subwoofer beyond its limits
