Audison Prima APS 10 D 10" Dual Voice Coil Subwoofer — 400W RMS / 800W Peak, 4Ω + 4Ω, Compact Sealed Enclosures
The Audison Prima APS 10 D is a 10-inch (250 mm) dual 4Ω voice coil subwoofer built to deliver maximum output from small sealed enclosures starting at about 10 litres. Its cone-dustcap-basket geometry gives a large excursion with a very shallow mounting depth, so it can sit close to the back wall of the box. It handles 400W continuous (RMS) and 800W peak power, and its dual voice coils give you flexible wiring options.
Key Features
- 10" (250 mm) subwoofer with dual 4Ω voice coils (2 x 4Ω)
- Power handling of 400W continuous / 800W peak
- Designed for sealed enclosures from 10 to 12 litres
- 60 mm (2.36") voice coil and a high-density ferrite magnet
- Water-repellent pressed paper cone
- Push connectors for easy wiring and configuration
Technical Highlights
Prima subwoofers use a special cone, dust-cap and basket geometry to provide large excursion with minimal mounting depth. The mounting centre-to-centre distance is 255 mm (10.04"). The dual coil version can be wired in parallel for a 2Ω load or driven with each coil from a bridged channel pair, depending on the amplifier.
Ideal For / System Fit
- Compact sealed boxes where space is limited
- Systems with an amplifier that has a 2Ω or bridged-pair subwoofer output
- Custom enclosures that use one or more 10" drivers
Not a plug-and-play box: it is a driver only, so it needs an enclosure of at least about 10 litres and a suitable amplifier, and professional installation is recommended.
Installation Note
Build or buy a sealed box of 10–12 litres for best results. Wire the dual coils to suit your amplifier: in parallel for 2Ω or as two separate 4Ω loads on a bridged pair. Check the amplifier's rated load before connecting.
What's Included
1 x Audison Prima APS 10 D 10" dual voice coil subwoofer (confirm the supplied hardware with your supplier)
Precautions
- Match amplifier power and load to the 400W RMS / 800W peak rating and the voice-coil wiring
- Use a sealed enclosure of at least about 10 litres
- Do not run it unfiltered at high levels; use a low-pass filter
- Professional installation is recommended
